The next day arrived quicker than Advika had hoped. She nervously counted down the hours until she had to face him again. As she was getting ready, her mind swirled with thoughts. "Okay, Advika. You can do this. Just act normal. You didn’t do anything wrong, right?" She tried to convince herself, but the flashbacks from the changing room kept creeping in, making her heart race.
Finally, dressed in a simple yet elegant saree, she muttered to herself, "Not again, yaar (friend). How am I supposed to travel in this saree? But whatever anyone says, I don’t look any less than an apsara (celestial nymph) descended from heaven." She adjusted her pallu, but as she took a step back, she lost her balance slightly, causing her to sit back on the bed.
She huffed in annoyance.
Divya, who was watching her with Aakriti, burst into laughter. Advika turned to look at both ladies who were laughing at her predicament, making her pout in frustration.
Divya: "Oh, the apsara who descended from heaven has fallen! Haha! How are you going to walk, Miss Apsara? Like a penguin! Haha!"
She continued to laugh, further annoying Advika.
Advika: "Haat! (Get lost!) Who invited you here, by the way?"
Divya: "Aunty did. Any problem?"
Advika just rolled her eyes at her, making Divya gasp dramatically.
Before they could start arguing, Aakriti jumped into the conversation.
Aakriti: "Okay, enough, both of you. And Aadu, you look really beautiful."
She looked at Divya, and both said in unison, "Just like an apsara who has descended from heaven."
Advika smiled shyly and left the room very cautiously, making sure not to stumble along the way.
Advika’s nerves were on edge as she stood before the grand doors of Agarwal's mansion. The chill in the air was palpable, but it wasn’t the evening cold that sent a shiver down her spine—it was the thought of facing him again. Akhil wasn’t just any man; he was ruthless, calculating, and dangerous—a man who wore the crown of a cold-hearted mafia king with ease.
She couldn’t forget the incident , the way his touch had sent a confusing blend of fear and thrill through her veins. Advika clenched her fists as she tried to shake the memory off. She had promised herself she wouldn’t let him get under her skin. But standing outside his domain, she couldn’t help but feel like a lamb walking into the lion’s den.
The three of them headed downstairs to join the rest of the family.
The entire Agarwal family was present at the door to
welcome the Bakshi family-except Akhil.
Sumitra: "You are looking beautiful, dear."
Saying this, she hugged Advika, who smiled and hugged her back, muttering a small, "Thank you."
After settling down, Advika's dad questioned, "Where is Akhil?"
Karan: "He went out for some work. Don't worry, he'll come soon."
Listening to this, everyone nodded, except for Advika, who was lost in her own thoughts.
"Aree wahh, janab bhaar gaye hai. Over here, maa warns me to come soon, and this hulk doesn't even value time. The guests are waiting for him, and he's still not here. Huh, batameez!"
("Wow, this gentleman is out somewhere. Over here, my mom warned me to come soon, and this hulk doesn't even value time. The guests are waiting for him, and he's still not here. Huh, rude!")
Divya: "Are you missing my jiju?" Divya whispered in her ear, making her flinch. Advika shot a glare at her, to which Divya just giggled.
After some time, Akhil entered the room, greeted her parents, excused himself, and left for his room to freshen up. Advika didn't even once look up to face him, and as he left, she sighed and continued listening to the elders talk. Sensing her boredom, Sumitra told Siya to give a house tour to Advika and Divya.
Siya was giving the tour and sharing some funny incidents, making both Advika and Divya laugh. As they were roaming, Advika discovered a terrace, which served as a second mini garden. She decided to explore the garden and then join both of them in Siya's room, as she was going to show them her art collection.
Siya pointed out her room to Advika and told her to come back there. Advika nodded and started enjoying the beauty of the flowers, which looked so beautiful. A wide smile appeared on her face as she found her favorite lavender flowers. After spending some time there, she decided to go back to Siya's room.
Standing in front of two doors that looked almost identical, she thought, "Which one did she point to, yaar? People say pictorial memory lasts longer-in my case, this fact is totally wrong. Why am I like this? Let's do one thing, 'Akad-Bakad' it is. Maybe luck will be on my side. Yes."
( "Which one did she point to, man? People say pictorial memory lasts longer-in my case, this fact is totally wrong. Why am I like this? Let's do one thing, 'Eenie Meenie' it is. Maybe luck will be on my side. Yes.")
"Okay, this one."
As she opened the door, she was welcomed by dark blue walls and a sensual, musky smell that was very familiar to her.A shiver ran down her spine. She gulped and decided to leave, but something caught her eye, making her take a step forward. She reached near the bed and picked up the cushion that was hiding a shiny object. As she saw what it was, she exhaled a deep, shaky breath. She picked up the gun, and only one name flashed in front of her eyes.
Damn, she was standing in the devil's room itself.
Advika decided to leave. As she was about to put the gun back in its place with a shaky hand, another cold, rough set of fingers brushed from her arm to her wrist. He clutched her wrist and brought it in front of her face, while his other hand snaked around her bare waist, making her shiver and lose her grip on the gun. But Akhil tightened his grip on the gun, keeping it in her hand. He sensually traveled the tip of the gun from her eyes to her cheeks, to her lips, to her jawline. She inhaled a sharp breath and wriggled to free herself from his hold, but he tightened his grip on her waist, making her squeal a little.
Akhil: "Don't you know you shouldn't enter a room without permission and shouldn't touch others' belongings? Hmm?"
He whispered in her ear and gave a small bite, making her shiver in his hold. He smirked, enjoying how she always became a submissive little cat in his presence. Advika: "L-l-leave me, someone will s-see us, please."
She started to wriggle in his hold. He dropped the gun from her hand and pinned her to the nearest wall. She gasped from the sudden movement. Her back was facing him, and she turned her face to the side to see what he was up to. Akhil moved her long hair, which was covering her bare back, to the front. She gulped when he buried his face in her neck. He inhaled sharply, his one hand pinning her wrist to the wall, and his other hand traveled from her waist to the strings of her blouse, making her gasp in horror.
She wriggled to get free from his hold, but he pulled the strings, making her blouse loose.Advika: "S-stop it, p-please."
Akhil: "It's just a punishment for ignoring me, baby."
He whispered on her skin and gave gentle kisses to calm her down, but it wasn't helping as his hand was busy exploring her back. He moved his face back slightly, not fully releasing her. He was tying her string back when a mark on her back made him halt. He traced her moon-shaped birthmark, which seemed very familiar to him, though he couldn't remember why?
As he was lost in thought, Advika turned and pushed him by his chest, but she instantly regretted touching him as he was only wearing pants.
'Fuck,' she cursed in her mind and quickly turned to leave.
"Batameez!" ("Rude!")
Akhil chuckled at her behaviour
As Advika came out of the room, she saw Divya and Siya searching for her.
Siya noticed her emerging from Akhil's room and smiled teasingly.
Siya: "What were you doing in Bhai's (brother's) room, Bhabi (sister-in-law), that you're so red?" she asked, raising her eyebrows with a teasing smile.
Divya: :"Kya baat hai… honeymoon plans pe charcha ho rahi thi kya?jo puri tamatar banke bahar nikli hai.
("What's the matter… Were you two discussing honeymoon plans? You came out looking like a whole tomato.") Divya smirked and winked at Advika, making her huff in anger.
Advika: "Stop your eyebrow dance, and you, stop smirking—you look like a pig," she said, giving a sarcastic smile to both of them before walking away, while they followed her, sulking.
